*STYLE TIP* Spring Dresses For Your Body Type

In the springtime, I love being able to swap over some of the heavier items in my wardrobe for lovely light, airy spring dresses. But as a combination b/d body type, I always found it difficult to find styles that suited me.

That's what I'm going to help you with in this blog post! Here are my recommendat- ions for each body type:

The b Body Type

If you're a b body type, your biggest challenge area is your belly. Look for dresses that float over the belly - avoid those that cling, as this will draw attention towards the area and make it appear larger. This dress is great, as it floats over the belly, and the lovely pattern in the bodice draws the attention away from the challenge area and up towards her beautiful face.

This dress is also great for a b body type. It's nice and loose over the belly area, drawing attention away from it. It also doesn't have a waistband, which is great for a b - a waistband, tie or seam around the middle will draw attention towards the midsection and highlight it, so it's best to avoid this.

The o Body Type

If you're an o body type, your biggest challenge area is your bust line. Fit-and-flare dresses are great for you; just make sure the the waistband sits at the smallest part of your waist, which for you is usually right under the bust. Patterns are perfect for you, as they minimise the bust line and draw the eye away from the size of the area and towards your gorgeous face.

Like the dress above, this dress is also great, as it has a pattern and the waistband is sitting in the right place. o body types generally have gorgeous legs, so don't be afraid to show them off with either a knee-length skirt or an up-down style like this one.

The d Body Type

If you're a d body type, your biggest challenge area is your hips and thighs. This dress is great because the sleeve style and boatneck neckline widens the shoulders, which in turn balances the hips. d body types generally have a tiny waist, and the waistband on this dress really highlights this. Finally, the skirt floats over the hips and thighs without clinging, which minimises the area.

Another great tool for the d body type is stripes. Horizontal stripes widen and vertical stripes lengthen. Not only is the style of this dress great for a d, but the horizontal stripes on top widen the upper body, balancing the hips, and the vertical stripes in the skirt slim the hips and thigh area.

The x Body Type

The x body type is generally quite balanced all over, and needs to maintain that balance rather than minimise any challenge areas. This dress is great, as it highlights the beautiful curves of the x body type, and the vertical line created by the buttons down the centre of the dress creates a slimming effect.

This dress is also beautiful on an x. The tie around the waist highlights the woman's hourglass-like shape and tiny waist. The knee-length skirt is a universally flattering length (it's called the 'Perfect Chanel Length'!) and helps maintain the balance of the x body type.

So there you have it! Also, don't forget to make sure your spring dress works for your colour code, frame size and style personality. That's it from me this week!
