Did you know that your eye colour is a handy tool to figure out what neutrals and pop colours work for you? For everything from your eye makeup to accessories to the clothes you wear, if you wear the colour sitting directly opposite to your eye colour on the colour wheel, you can intensify your eye colour and make your eyes stand out! Here's how it works: If You Have Blue Eyes ![]() If you look at a colour wheel, the opposite - or complementary - colours to the blue family is the orange family. That means that if you wear orange or peach as a pop colour or brown or tan as a neutral - either in your accessories, makeup or outfit - it will cause your beautiful blue eyes to 'pop'! If You Have Green/Hazel Eyes ![]() The complementary colours to the green family are the purple family. So any purple-toned colour, such as mauve, violet, indigo etc. will enhance and electrify your beautiful green-toned eyes. Look for these colours in accessories, clothing items, and particularly eyeshadow! A soft purple should become your go-to party look on your eyes. If You Have Brown Eyes ![]() Brown is from the orange family, so its complementary colours are those in the blue family. If you have brown eyes, look for colours like navy and indigo for neutrals and bright blues and violets for pop colours to really electrify your eyes! Have you tried wearing your complementary colour before? Why not try it next time you get dressed? You'll be amazed by how much your eyes will stand out!
